FAQ's

When can I start eating Franjos Kitchen lactation cookies and muesli?

34-36 weeks pregnant: Start with 1-2 of our nourishing lactation cookies per day, especially beneficial for those planning to express colostrum antenatally.

36-39 weeks pregnant: Increase your intake to 2-3 lactation cookies daily to further support your milk supply and load you up with goodness.

From 39 weeks to birth: Enjoy 2 cookies in one sitting, twice per day (and take it as a moment of self-care in your day!)

First week postpartum: For the first 3 or so days, your body will be producing liquid gold - colostrum. Colostrum is full of antibodies, vitamins and minerals and is incredibly important. Generally, your milk will ‘come in’ around day 3-5. To nourish your body with galactogens (ingredients that have promoted and supported milk supply for decades), eat 2 cookies every 3-4 hours. They are the perfect one-handed snack for breastfeeding!

First month postpartum: As you work on establishing breastfeeding, it's important to feed every 3-4 hours (or every 15 minutes if they are like our babies!). Incorporate our lactation cookies into your routine to support your milk supply naturally.

Ongoing postpartum needs: Tailor your intake based on your body's signals. For a boost before what you anticipate as a "lower" supply feeding, enjoy 2-3 biscuits 3 hours in advance. Many mums find this especially helpful for enhancing the afternoon feeding session.

How many should I eat?
2 biscuits = 1 serve
